Youth Speaks Final 2024

Lucy, Sophie and Emma from Kyle Academy, barely 15, were chosen to represent Scotland in the National final of Youth Speaks which took place in Norwich on Sunday 21st April 2024 at the John Innes Conference Centre. They had already beaten all other teams in Scotland.

Their topic was “This house believes AI should be embraced”. Sophie spoke for the motion, Lucy against and Emma was the chairman and pulled the arguments together.

Their arguments were well made, the research was obvious and they presented themselves very well.

Although they were not placed they should be very proud of themselves. As they were at least 2 years younger than most of the other opponents, perhaps they will have another go next year!
