Young Carers Gateway Support

Ayr Rotary’s continued financial support for Carers Gateway South Ayrshire is greatly appreciated, their generosity has made a genuine difference in the lives of the young carers and their families. Thanks to funding last year, several families enjoyed a wonderful day out at Heads of Ayr Farm Park—a much-needed break filled with fun, laughter, and lasting memories.

The annual trip to the panto has become a real highlight for the young carers, something they look forward to all year. It’s always a joy to see their excitement and the smiles on their faces, and we’ve been told they truly couldn’t make happen without Ayr Rotary’s help. Once again during December, we’ll be sponsoring many carers attendance at Gaiety’s Aladdie panto.

Just last month Ayr Rotary supported a trip to Pirate Pete’s for which the carers were incredibly grateful. Opportunities like these provide young carers with time to simply be children—relaxing, playing, and socialising with others who understand their experience.
