Tuesday 6th September, John Mulholland Ayr Housing Centre

Ayr Housing Aid Centre was established in 1987 and is a registered charity helping South Ayrshire residents with housing issues. A major part of the Centre’s work is to provide advice, information, advocacy, representation along with Tenure Sustainment for those threatened with homelessness and First Home Services for those wishing to be housed by the Council.

The Centre provided a Housing Support Service and was inspected and regulated by the Care Inspectorate.

South Ayrshire Council have contracted AHAC to provide a wide range of services. These include:-

  • HOUSING ADVICE, ADVOCACY & INFORMATION (Types I, II and III)
  • TENURE SUSTAINMENT
  • EDUCATION & ENGAGEMENT (HEY – Housing Education for Youths, First Home, Building Positive Futures, Working with Students, Young People, Veterans & Older people)
