The Brian Hignett Quiz

On Tuesday evening Brian Hignett Quiz Master and David McIntyre who was the Compeer for the evening.

We had 4 teams of Rotarians with various interesting team names. We were informed that there were to be 5 rounds plus a picture round.

The quiz began with the General Knowledge round with 10 questions. All round would be made up of 10 questions. After the first round there were only 2 points between the 4 teams.  The second-round theme was on Scotland. This time the scores had closed and we were down to a point between all 4 teams. Our third round was on Science.  Again, another close round in the scores leaving just a 2 points difference between all 4 teams. The fourth round was on Food and Drink. When it came to the scores a 3 point gap opened up following this round. All was to play for in the final round before the picture round. The teams had already begun putting countries to the flags! Fifth round was on Geography and History. The scores had tighten following the fifth round with a 3 way tie for first place and the final team just a point and 1/2 behind. The Picture round was going to be the decider. After scoring the Picture Round the winning team on 42 1/2 points was 5 wise men followed by Equal second, Incognitos and 7 nights on 40 1/2 point and bring up the rear was the Hopefuls on 37 points.
