Ayr Rotary welcomes Robin Ballantyne from The Community Housing Advocacy Project

On 7 October 2025, Ayr Rotary welcomed Robin Ballantyne as our guest speaker, who gave a very interesting presentation on ‘The Community Housing Advocacy Project’, an Ayrshire charity otherwise known by its acronym ‘CHAP’.

Robin is the charity’s Senior Education Officer at CHAP, which is based in North Ayrshire providing support around housing, welfare, and debt issues. He has been with the organisation for 15 years overseeing the housing and financial education that is delivered in schools, colleges and community settings. He plays a key role in delivering financial education initiatives across secondary schools, engaging with pupils from S1 to S6 in North Ayrshire, and helping young people build essential life skills in budgeting, savings, and debt avoidance.

Robin’s efforts reflect CHAP’s broader mission to tackle poverty and empower communities through education and advocacy.
