Oh what a night of talent we all experienced last Tuesday and if you now don’t know your spicket from your skelpit, you weren’t there. And mores the pity for you, because you missed a marvellous night of fun and high class renditions and singing. Even before the festivities began, Mitchell and Clark Young from Ayr Bruins showed off their new strips which had been sponsored by a donation from Ayr Rotary. Then new member, Ieuan Isaac was inducted into the Club.

Thereafter, we were treated to Charlie Steele addressing the haggis in his usual swashbuckling manner, to the delight if his audience. 15 year old Sophie Craig, took to the floor and thoroughly beguiled everyone in the room with her faultless songs and renditions of the Bard. And, during the evening, our very own Jimmy Begg, delivered his Immortal Memory, linking his forefathers with Robert Burns in the “Mither Tongue”

The Savoy Park Hotel augmented an excellent evening with their usual quality fare.

A night to remember and savour, until next year
