And yet another new member…..
Mark grew up in Lenzie, East Dumbartonshire with his parents and older brother. He also lived in Cardonald, Southside of Glasgow and Kelvinside before moving to Ayr in 2006 on a permanent basis. He always spent time in Ayr as his Aunt & Uncle owned Pierino’s Restaurant with Italian grandparents who lived nearby. Mark works for a financial company, developing and coaching others to be at their best.
With a Scottish father and Italian Mother, this allowed Mark to have the best of both worlds, especially with his passion for food and cooking, in particularly Italian dishes. His Italian is now become a wee bit rusty, unlike his younger fluent speaking days.
20 year old daughter Olivia is studying at Ayr college and Mark’s partner, who works for an IT company, lives nearby.
He loves the outdoors, always keen to enjoy nature especially with his black Labrador Retriever ‘Vito’ not forgetting his Ginger Tom Cat ‘Harry,’ all residing in Ayr, Fort Area.
He organises numerous charitable events within the business from fundraising to volunteering in the local community and also leads charitable events for MND & Alzheimers Scotland, as both charities are close to his heart.
The difference Ayr Rotary makes to others locally and worldwide really impressed Mark and he is therefore keen to play his part to help in the community.
