Zoom Quizzers Battle It Out – 12 October 2020

Thanks are due to John Dunlop and members of his committee for organising the club’s first-ever Zoom Quiz. Twelve single or two-person teams took part in what was an enjoyable half-hour trying to dredge up memories of places visited, pop artists of yesteryear, and bits of globally-recognised product brands.

The workings of the Zoom platform continue to puzzle some people. Despite being advised to mute their microphones, one or two members provided great amusement by broadcasting their deliberations to everyone else …. or perhaps it was a crafty misinformation strategy! Are our members that devious?

Ieuan and Nancy Isaac excelled by winning the quiz with an excellent (and frankly unbelievable) 29 points from a possible 35. Even they seemed astounded but emphatically rejected calls for them to add up their score again.
