Wine Tasting at Corney & Barrow

Through the dimly lit underground tunnels, stacked floor to ceiling with valuable cases of wine, allowing only a narrow passage down the middle, Ayr Rotary club members and their many guests were led on an exciting and atmospheric tour of the Corney & Barrow wine cellars by Manager, Ian Matthews.

Stopping to sample a wide variety of white and red wines from around the world in one of the few wider passageways, our large group imbibed and tasted each wine on offer, complimented with canapés provided by Jacquie Wilson and served by Eileen and Jane.

The night was viewed as a great success by all and Vice President Harry Peters gave the vote of thanks.
