Treasure Chest Support Alister Firth Skydive

When our good friend Alister Firth asked Ayr Rotary to sponsor his skydive for charity, we did not hesitate. Daredevil Alister took off in a small plane from Glenrothes Airport in poor weather, with Gaffa Tape prominently adorning the plane’s fuselage. Strapped to an experienced co-jumper he positioned himself at the edge of the doorway 1000’s of feet in the air and suddenly was catapulted out of the aircraft being deafened by the aircraft noise and the rush of the wind. Then his parachute opened and all was calm with wonderful views of the landscape. Within seconds Alister hit the ground, guided carefully by his professional co-jumper. He landed safely. A well deserved £200 from our Treasure Chest was awarded for his valiant exploit
