Strictly Rotary (and friends) – 9 November 2017
Well! What a night we had last Thursday. Eat your hearts out Anton du Beke and Darcy Bussell! Ayr Rotary Club are on the dance floor!
Those of us who had the courage (or audacity) to look out these old dance shoes and take to the floor were rewarded with an evening of performance, passion and (let’s be honest) pantomime. There were some who could dance well and some who only thought they could dance well. But no matter – a great time was had by all.
Leading us through a clever and entertaining programme of dance, games, quiz and raffle was our MC for the night Alan McWilliam, ably assisted by his dance partner and wife, Lynn.
This was another tremendous success for Ian Alexander Promotions and one that surely merits repeating.
For the record:
Spot waltzes were won by Katie Nicol with Ron Ireland and Jean Thomson with John Laughland.
The quiz was won by the Chancer Dancers with 16 points closely followed by Crème de la Crème with 15 points.
