Poppy Appeal raises £201,244 as Geoff Barber stands down

The 2015 Poppy Appeal in Ayr raised £34453, bringing the six-year total to £201,244.

 

The Rotary Club of Ayr took over the organisation of the collection in 2009, under the leadership of Geoff Barber. He and his wife Jan have worked tirelessly over that period to ensure the success of the Collection. Geoff has now handed over responsibility to Paul Williams, who has been assisting recently.

Those involved in 2015 were: the Army Cadet Force, Ayr Inner Wheel Club, The Lions Club of Ayr and Prestwick, the Sea Cadets, the Air Cadets, the Boys Brigade, St Columba Scouts and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
