Lock-Up Clean-Up

Through the endeavours of Neil Beattie and the cooperation of South Ayrshire Council the club now has a lock-up for the storage of non-valuable equipment including the Message-in-a-Bottle items.

As a quid-pro-quo gesture, President Ian and Eileen Alexander, Neil, Ron Ireland and Harry Jackson spent an hour or two (well only an hour in Ian and Eileen’s case since they arrived late, but in good time for the photo-shoot) clearing litter and weeding the entire lock-up area.

It is hoped to identify similar public areas where Ayr Rotary could contribute to efforts to clean-up the town and to make this a more regular type of small scale community project.
