In-situ Safari Supper 28 Oct 2017

The International Committee have found a great way of raising funds. Find a suitable location (in this case St Leonard’s Church hall, invite a few people along and ask them to bring their own food and drink. So far, so good…. But then ask them to pay for it!

And so this magic formula raised over £900 for a water borehole project in Malawi.  Alex Thomson, convenor, gave a presentation on how the borehole will be funded, and how it can transform the community it will serve. Muriel Wilson from Abbas Rest, the charity who are involved with this project and others in Malawi gave an outline of the work of the charity.

Ayr Rotarians and their partners were joined by Rotarians from Troon, Hunterston and Alloway clubs, making it an excellent night of fellowship, along with superb food.
