Craig Wilson
We bid farewell to our dedicated Secretary Craig Wilson. After eight years of service, including President, Craig leaves a legacy of successful projects and ventures which have enhanced the wellbeing of our Club over many years. He devised the marvellous Majestic wine tasting evenings. Over fifty people attended the final night in Summer 2018. The fun-filled Bake Off was another of his ideas as was the bi-monthly breakfast meetings which are still well attended Zoom gatherings. The Antiques Roadshow, annual beach, STEM in Kilmarnock College and the annual charity golf day all had an major input from Craig’s willing volunteering spirit.
Perhaps his greatest event contribution, was the organisation of the
Club’s 85th anniversary dinner held at Loch Green Hotel, Troon in November 2017. In addition, his meticulous attention to detail and spontaneous recall of Rotary processes and policies, his calming influence during impasse discussions, will surely be missed. We wish Craig well in his move to the Cotswolds where he has a choice of five Rotary Clubs in the vicinity. Our loss will be their gain.
As a token of the Club’s appreciation for all his endeavours, Craig is pictured receiving a James Martin chopping board and personalised calendar from President Hazel
