Ayr Rotary Commended at Holyrood

 

Ayr Rotary Club and the Ayrshire Coastal Path Pathminders were commended last week in the following motion presented to the Scottish Parliament:

Title: Ayrshire Coastal Path Wins Paths for All Award

Motion Text:

That the Parliament congratulates Ayr Rotary Club, Ayrshire Coastal Path, and the 40-strong team of Path Minders on their continued success in winning a group award at the recent Paths for All Awards; understands that work began in 2003 and that the 100-mile-long path was officially opened in 2008; recognises that the Path Minders have also collected over 7,500 bags of rubbish from the rural beaches along the path; considers that the Path Minders’ hard work in maintaining and developing the long route highly deserve the recognition that they have received, and wishes them all the best in the years to come.
