Annual Kümmel Cup Golf Match Returns – 14 October 2022

After a two-year, covid-enforced postponement, the club’s traditional, annual Kümmel Cup Golf match staged a welcome return. This year’s event took place at the St Nicholas Golf Club course in Prestwick where an unfortunately depleted group of four competed for this prestigious trophy and the accompanying bottle of Kümmel liqueur, kindly provided, as usual, by John Laughland.

 

 

The blustery conditions which swept the course over the first few holes gave way to a relatively pleasant afternoon and mixed fortunes for the competitors. However, Charlie Steele played an excellent round to, once again, add his name to the trophy for a record fifth time.

Jim Nelson did the honours by presenting Charlie with the trophy and prize bottle.
