Alex Thomson Scoops Awards – 9 July 2019
Alex Thomson stole the show at this week’s club meeting by picking up two awards. The first was for the Rotarian of the Year (18/19) and was awarded by immediate past president Colin Vooght (but presented by president Ieuan) who, in recognising Alex’s many achievements had noted that he was always there for helpful advice, quietly and authoritatively delivered.

he second award, accepted from secretary Craig by Alex on behalf of his International team, was from District 1230 who considered Ayr Rotary club’s Malawi project the most deserving of all the District clubs’ various projects. Well done Alex on both counts.
