2018 Annual Charity Golf Day

A shotgun start at 9.30am on Saturday 12 May saw sixteen teams tee-off to compete in the Ayr Rotary Club Annual Charity Golf Day at Belleisle Park. This event is the main fund-raiser in the club’s calendar, raising an amazing £10,000, and the principal beneficiary this year was local charity South Ayrshire Dementia Support Association (SADSA). Thanks go to Jim Nelson for his supreme effort in reaching this ambitious target.

 

 

 

 

The winning team was Caledonian Windows & Conservatories whose captain, Tom Middleton, was presented with the trophy and first prize of a 4-ball round of golf at Royal Troon. Doonvale Nursery came a very creditable second, their prize being a 4-ball round of golf at Old Prestwick.

Liz Campbell of SADSA acknowledged Ayr Rotary’s support for the charity’s work and club secretary Douglas Haddow thanked all the entrants, helpers and organisers for their contributions to the day’s success.
